First Review - Skyfall

So I'm going to start these reviews with the plot summary/ the storyline to give you an idea of what happens but not giving anything away, and then I'll give you my review at the end with a rating out of 10 (1 being rubbish, don't bother watching - to a 10 which is a bucket list film, a must see)

SkyFall

When Bond's latest assignment goes gravely wrong and agents around the world are exposed, MI6 is attacked forcing M to relocate the agency. These events cause her authority and position to be challenged by Gareth Mallory (Ralph Fiennes), the new Chairman of the Intelligence and Security Committee. With MI6 now compromised from both inside and out, M is left with one ally she can trust: Bond. 007 takes to the shadows - aided only by field agent, Eve (Naomie Harris) - following a trail to the mysterious Silva (Javier Bardem), whose lethal and hidden motives have yet to reveal themselves.Written by JoaoBond (on IMDB)

So what do I think of Skyfall?

Skyfall is the third of the new Bond era, started when Daniel Craig took
over as James Bond. They are the first in the lines of remaking all of the
bond book/films. The films got off to a great start with the film Casino Royale,
but was then let down by the follow up where they went away from the
James Bonds character by letting him seek out revenge. So there was a lot of
speculation of to what this film Skyfall would be like, and with so many budget
problems and other mishaps many feared it would not be completed.
But thank the lord that it was!!!
It made such an impact I went to see it 3 times, not only great acting from
everyone in the film, but the excellent directing and editing was second to none.
Resulting in a piece of time less cinema, a true classic of the modern age.
Great stunts, great use of landscape and colours made it seen almost to real.
This is back to Bond at his best. The only thing I would say is that there wasn't
enough gadgets... but that might just be me as a tech head. But I think that is
the way cinema is heading now, more realism.

So on the whole I would give the film a 10/10, a total masterpiece.
Perhaps thats why it is the highest grossing film of all time in Britain and
the Seventh highest in the world (of all time!!). Making a staggering
"$1.094 billion across the globe". So if you haven't seen it yet get the DVD or
Blu Ray get in some popcorn and watch it!!

Hope this has been useful, please feel free to comment.
